Summary

Railisland is a live railway tracker for Taiwan, displaying TRA, THSR, Alishan Forest Railway, and all metro/LRT systems on one animated map. TRA trains use official real-time delay data from TDX; Taipei MRT and Circular Line are calibrated by official second-level arrival countdowns; Kaohsiung MRT and Airport MRT use station board data; other systems run on daily timetables.

What is Railisland?

Railisland is an animated map of Taiwan's railways. It integrates 241 TRA stations, 12 THSR stations, 21 Alishan Forest Railway stations, and the complete networks of Taipei MRT, Taoyuan Airport MRT, New Taipei MRT (Danhai, Ankeng, Sanying), Taichung MRT, Kaohsiung MRT, and LRT. Trains run synchronized to daily timetables and official real-time data. Users can search by train number or station name; clicking a train locks the camera to follow it to the terminus, showing speed curves, next-stop countdowns, and delay amounts. The platform auto-fetches official timetables daily, reflecting extra trains and schedule changes.

Core Capabilities

  • Real-time train animation — TRA uses official delays; Taipei/Kaohsiung MRT calibrated by arrival boards; positions update live
  • Train following & search — Enter train number or station; camera follows the train, displaying speed curve, next-stop countdown, and delay
  • Station boards — Tap any station to see upcoming departures; co-located TRA/THSR/MRT info at a glance
  • Level crossing countdown — 415 TRA level crossings mapped; tap to see next trains and countdown
  • Journey passport — Auto-logs traveled segments and stations; shows completion rates, stamps, and achievement badges
  • Multi-system view — See all Taiwan railways at once, or switch to TRA, THSR, or MRT tabs
